Samsung SR400LSTC Fridge | Best Value Fridge?

The best thing about this fridge is the value for money, the freezer fits up to 150 litres and the fridge packs another 250 litres. Other fridges around the same price range of $750, were much smaller or came from less premier brands.

I would give it 4.5/5 - the only reason why it’s not a 5 star is that, it doesn’t have a built in ice cube maker and the energy rating is only 3.5, and it’s not a bottom mount fridge. BUT, for the price, I can’t knock it.

While we initially wanted a bottom mount fridge (one with the fridge in the top level), using this fridge over the last few month, we didn’t get the back aches we thought we might have, as the top shelf in the bottom fridge compartment was high enough to reach without much bending over.

We use the fridge at its lowest cooling setting as the normal setting kept our food too cold, this hopefully means that it’ll use less energy overall - anyone with an electronics degree please correct me if I’m wrong.

The noise levels are good, while I wouldn’t work right next to the fridge, 5 of so meters away and it becomes un-noticeable.

We got this puppy from Harvey Norman, the sales guys there are usually great, willing to always knock up a bit. For us, we got $50 off, which made us happy as we’re from the UK and not used to haggling.
